Protein Project

  The protein content in peanut is about 26%32, which is higher than the one in milk, pork, and eggs, in addition to its oil content of 46%~52. The protein content in milk is 3%, chicken 14%, fish 25%, pork 16%, and wheat powder 9.9%. More important is that 90% of the protein in peanut is globin, containing 18 kinds of amino acid including 8 essential amino acids which couldn’t be compounded by our human body, among which 7 amino acids reach or exceed FAO standard except for a relatively small quantity of methionine. Plant protein is the key point in western countries. American and Japan lead the research in the world. The two companies, ADM company and CENRTALSOY company, can make over one hundred protein product in 5 categories, which are extensively used in meat processor, milk producer, bakery, and roasting industries. The application in staple food product may improve the quality of the food and enhance the nutrition in the foods. 

 

  The peanut protein has a similar function as bean protein, but it is easier to be absorbed. The indigested carbohydrate, cottonseed carbohydrate, and Stachyose content in the peanut protein is only one seventh of the ones in bean protein, never resulting in any abdominal detention or hic reaction. The digestion coefficient may reach 90%. In addition, the color of peanut is pure white. And its dissolvable protein and nitrogen dissolving index are very high so that whatever animal or plant foodstuffs it is added into, it may improve the food quality and enhance the food nutrition.

 

  At present, the protein absorption of Chinese people is far less than the world average level, just satisfying the threshold recommended by FAO and WHO. The Chinese people especially lack of high quality protein. According to a statistics in 2000, the average protein absorption was 68 grams----the figure in developed country in 1990 was 98.5 grams----in which the high quality one takes only one fifth. Therefore, to develop peanut protein resources is becoming one of the ways to solve this problem.

 

  Our company developed the new processing technology of active peanut protein powder, already applied patent in China, through absorbing the technologies of two American companies, ADM and CEMTRALSOY, and taking the real situation in China into consideration. We have already provided technology and equipment to the domestic enterprises which have strong power and good prospects.
